Stacy Coleman, BA, MA

CEO of Vertical Verte, LLC

The PsychBotanica story began when Stacy saw an opportunity to leverage our innate connection with nature to supercharge core performance and overall wellness. As CEO of Vertical Verte, LLC Stacy directs her team in the design, maintenance, and installation vertical gardens and biophilic art. Her clients include Lincoln Center, Harvard University, Oxford Press, Allianz and Bank of China.

Stacy has an extensive corporate background having held executive positions in healthcare, banking and consulting. As a Vice President in Human Resources at the Mount Sinai Health Care System she oversaw the performance measurement of over 40,000 employees. She worked closely with the Wellness team to support critical programs for employees.

Ivy researches and composes the content for the PsychBotanica session scripts as well as the supporting communications for Human Resource departments. Ivy helps organizations leverage the value of the service and create customizations where needed. Ivy has a B.A. in Psychology from Boston University and a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Hofstra University.

Ivy’s research interests are in environmental factors influencing mental health outcomes and expanding access to mental health care through technology and patient/user-centered design. Recent publications include “The Relationship Between Greenspace Exposure and Psychopathology Symptoms: A Systematic Review.”

Shane is an artist, musician and craftsman. Shane designs and creates moss art works, constructs vertical garden systems as well as maintains them. Shane has extensive experience working with biophilic media. He designs and oversees the production of the moss art work and installation logistics for PsychBotanica. Shane’s background includes gallery and exhibition work for the Zena Zezza Gallery , the Pacific Northwest College of Art and The New Museum of Portland. He has created work for Hilton Tru hotel, KPMG, PDT Partners along with other multiple private commissions.
